Extruded Aluminum Finned Tubes, also referred to as "monolithic finned tubes," are formed from the parent metal of a thick tubular aluminum sleeve into which the fluid handling tube has been inserted. There is no limit to the fluid handling tube material (could be copper, copper-nickel, Stainless steel, titanium, bi-equivalent). The cold working of the fins during the fin machining process provides the fins with excellent mechanical resistance (robust fins, high resistance to atmospheric corrosion, etc.). The pressure required to extrude the fins from the aluminum sleeve creates an excellent "pressure bond" between the two materials. Additionally, the aluminum fin material completely surrounds the metal of the tube, so there is no risk of galvanic corrosion at the root of the fin (between the tube and the fin). All these advantages guarantee the most Stable performance over time of all other fin types.

What is an Extruded Finned Tube?
The Extruded Finned tube is a bimetallic tube whose outer aluminum surface is finned by cold plastic deformation. We offer two main types of finned tubes, monometallic tubes (also known as single metal finned tubes) and bimetallic tubes (composite Extruded Finned Tubes).
Extruded Fin Tubes are formed from an outer aluminum tube with a large wall thickness (sleeve) that is aligned on an inner base tube. The two tubes are pushed through three mandrels with rotating disks that squeeze or extrude the aluminum fins in a helical pattern upwards in a single operation, out of the sleeve material.
